So here is our route, drawn expertly (even if I do say so myself...) by me. I learned quite a bit when I did this - namely that when we went in 2014 we went left to Hiroshima, and not right as I imagined, with my geographically challenged brain, we did. However, this time we're going definitely right, to the very ends of the country - if you don't include Okinawa that is!
So, apart from having picked up the Japanese Yen and sorted out the US style chargers/adapters I'm completely unprepared, and I can confidently say that Charlie isn't either. There are going to be variances in temperature as well, with Tokyo and Osaka stuck at around 16 degrees and raining, and Fukuoka at 18 degrees (still raining) and Kagoshima at 22 degrees...no idea if it is raining, it just sounds delightful! None of this is helping in the scoping of the packing! Of course, I have NOTHING suitable to wear for any of it. Story of my life :) I definitely know we need a raincoat...
